Our Mission
To meet the needs of the individual, family, and community holistically through a variety of ministries and groups, directed at restoring spiritually, emotionally, and economically.
Since 1997, this ministry has served the Oxon Hill, Maryland community as a consecrated place of worship, a beacon of light to the blind, and a place of restoration for the poor in spirit.
Our Mission
To meet the needs of the individual, family, and community holistically through a variety of ministries and groups, directed at restoring spiritually, emotionally, and economically.
Our Vision
To be a haven for the saving and restoring of souls — the House of the Lord Jesus Christ for all people, whose doors are always open.
These principles guide everything we do as a church community.
WE BELIEVE that there is One God, in essence and in person. This One True God is infinite in power and intelligence, present everywhere at the same time, Holy in nature, attributes and purpose. Manifesting and revealing Himself in a divine threefold relationship as Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Ghost). This One True God took upon Himself flesh in redemption and became the Son of God, Jesus Christ, according to the flesh (Romans 1:3), God with us according to the Spirit (Matthew 1:23). In Him dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily and we are complete in Him (Colossians 2:9, 1 Timothy 3:16).
The Holy Bible to be the inerrant, infallible, and immutable living and abiding word of the Lord, revealing the character, will and mind of God, disclosing His plans for the universe and man, the crown of His creation.
That through the sin of Adam, the first man, and all mankind is under a curse of sin and death, and is only saved through the atonement of Jesus Christ (the last Adam).
That through Jesus Christ we have wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. We also have through Him, all of the temporal provisions for our physical life, including healing of the body and mind and all material needs.
That the church is the body of Christ; therefore, every Christian must identify with the church. In the sacraments of Water Baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and Holy Communion.
In the indwelling power of the Holy Ghost, enduing and empowering believers to prophesy (speak in a foreign language) and imparting divers gifts to the members of the body of Christ.
In the final judgment, with the resurrection of the righteous to eternal bliss and the wicked to eternal damnation.
Come as you are to our Oxon Hill church family. Greeters and ushers will help you find a seat, and we are glad you are here — whether it is your first Sunday or you are returning home.
You will feel the presence of the Holy Ghost as we worship together through music, prayer, and a message from the Bible. Our services are lively, consecrated, and centered on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Join us for interactive, edifying Bible enrichment — Sunday School, midweek Bible Class, and Word Empowerment — grounded in holiness and the entire counsel of Scripture.
From Children’s Church and nursery care to youth ministry and Sunday School, we are a family-oriented church that wants every generation to grow strong in the Lord.
As a church family we keep feeding the hungry and clothing the naked while we spread the Gospel throughout the city — a faith-in-action community restoring people spiritually, emotionally, and economically.

Pastor
Bishop Stephan Simmons is the senior pastor of Restoration True Holiness Temple in Oxon Hill, Maryland. He has a heart for all people and believes that salvation, health, and deliverance are available to everyone through the Lord Jesus Christ. Grounded in holiness, he is a leading voice for this generation — compelling men and women to be filled with the Holy Ghost. Introduced to the way of Holiness at an early age under his parents, Bishop Wilbert S. Simmons and Mother Barbara Simmons, he was baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ in April 1973 and received the gift of the Holy Ghost. Traveling extensively with his father for many years, he grew deeply in the Word of the Lord. He also served as minister of music under his father for more than twenty years — affectionately known as Minister Teady — leading Restoration’s music ministry and playing lead guitar for choirs, groups, and solo artists across the DMV. After more than thirty-four years at the Prince George’s County Correctional Center, Bishop Simmons retired in 2017 and now serves in pastoral ministry full-time. He was installed as pastor of Restoration in June 2000; appointed 5th District Elder in the Church of God and True Holiness in 2004; and in 2010, during the 81st Holy Convocation of the Church of God and True Holiness, International, consecrated as Bishop and elevated as 5th District Bishop. He later was elected 1st Vice Presiding Bishop of that organization. Bishop Simmons is married to Elect Lady Angela; together they have three children — Brianna Caszmir, Wilbert Stephan III, and Skyler McKinley. He holds a Master’s degree in Theology and is pursuing a Doctorate of Ministry in Christian Education.

Elect Lady
Lady Angela Simmons is the wife of Bishop W. Stephan Simmons. She gave her life to the Lord in September 1987 at the age of twenty-one, after sensing God’s call to change and beginning to attend Christ Deliverance Church in Seat Pleasant, Maryland, with her older brother. Hearing the Word preached, she knew it was time to fully surrender her life to Christ. Shortly after joining that church under Bishop Patterson, she was baptized and received the gift of the Holy Ghost in October 1987 — and she has not looked back. In 1990 she joined Restoration True Holiness Temple under Bishop Wilbert and Mother Barbara Simmons. She married Elder Simmons in 1992; from that union they were blessed with three children: Brianna, Wilbert III, and Skyler. Lady Simmons serves as a Sunday school teacher and oversees the dance ministry. She believes the life we live in Christ should actively and rightly represent the attributes of Jesus. Through a holy life — possible only by the power of the Holy Spirit — the world around the Saints should see and hear the call of the true and risen Savior. Her favorite scripture, which she quotes every morning, is Psalm 91.
